Giving Opportunities
1. Annual Fund
Make your gift count today with a 100% tax deducatible contribution to Blind and Low Vision Services’ Annual Fund. Contributions help fund vision rehabilitation services and programs. Services, such as orientation and mobility training, instruction in independent living and low vision services benefit from your gifts. Programs, such as the computer access program and support groups also benefit. You can double your gift if your employer has a matching gift program.

2. Honor Someone Special
If you or someone you love have been touched by vision loss, a gift "in honor of" or "in memory of" is the perfect way to pay tribute to the individual and to give to an agency that impacts the lives of the visually impaired. Your gift says, "I care" about that special someone and about vision rehabilitation. Your gift makes a difference. All donations are acknowledged with a letter to the individual being honored or to their family and to the donor, as well. We do not reveal the amount of the contribution.

3. Planned Giving
(Bequests, Gifts of Stock or Securities, Trusts, Annuities, Life Insurance)
A bequest to Blind and Low Vision Services of North Georgia, Inc. is as simple as an amendment (codicil) to your will stating one of three choices: "I give (exact dollar amount) or (percentage of my estate) or (remainder of my estate) to Blind and Low Vision Services of North Georgia, Inc., a non-profit, human service agency located in Smyrna, Georgia USA."

Bequests may provide you with valuable estate tax savings. Please contact Joan M. Stuart, CFRE, executive director, for a confidential conversation about bequests, stock transfers, named tribute funds, annuities, charitable remiander trusts and other planned giving opportunities.  Contact information is on our Contact Us page.

4. United Way
Blind and Low Vision Services receives funding from United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta. Contributions to United Way through their workplace campaigns and their designated contribution program supports our agency.

5. Drive for Sight program
When Georgians renew their driver’s licenses, they have an opportunity to prevent blindness, preserve sight and treat vision loss by donating $1 to the Drive for Sight program. Contributions to this program are awarded in the form of grants to agencies, such as Blind and Low Vision Services, who are helping Georgians.
